Wondering what to do with those gently used backpacks? Lewis Bird, WHS freshman, is collecting backpacks for his Boy Scout Eagle Project. Low class size is important to our families and School Board. We are monitoring our class size numbers closely and will be adding additional classrooms to at least our kindergarten, first and second grades. In order to provide for the new classrooms, one of our grade level teams will be in our new West Wing, four portable classrooms that will be built this summer on our back field. These classrooms will be similar to those at Boones Ferry, Willamette, Stafford and Wood Schools in our District.
Due to the amount of work involved, Boeckman will be closed throughout the summer. School programs will be located at Boones Ferry Primary School. We do ask that families new to our school drop by and pick up registration information that will be available in our lobby. Knowing the number and grades of new students as soon as possible allows us to plan appropriately for staffing.
Summer Youth Strength & Athletic Performance Camp will be held at Wilsonville High School. The camp is for students who will be entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade. There will be 15 sessions beginning June 30th through July 30th on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. The cost is $175. For more information contact Jordan Franco at 503-625-2600.

Word has it Parks & Rec, in conjunction with Wilsonville Community Sharing applied for and succeeded in getting a volunteer through the Northwest Service Academy, Lower Columbia Division. The volunteer will manage the community gardens, which will include developing a program for the people in this community who take part in the Food Bank to grow their own garden produce.

Do you have any gently used books cluttering up your home? We can help! We need book donations! Boones Ferry Primary School is doing its annual "Book Exchange". They need books donated to give away to students. They are looking for some used books, in good condition, that are written for older primary students. They do not want books with romance, violence, or horror. If you have any to give, please drop them off in the Boones Ferry Book Exchange box in the Wood library, or at BFPS
